Hello, I'm Abi

Welcome to my website!

Flowers are my absolute passion and I love the joy they bring me, and others. Utter excitement and enthusiasm is what I get when I discover a gorgeous new variety of something I haven't seen before; it's the same when I see beautiful flowers and foliage growing naturally around me.

I've been a florist for over 12 years now, since gaining my Level 3 Diploma in Floristry, and have built up experience in every sector of the business. This includes shop work, hosting and teaching workshops, designing and managing weddings and events, and I've totally lost count how many Christmas wreaths I've made (actually lost count a long time ago).

I have been lucky enough to work for some of the top florists in London. With this came the chance to work in the most amazing venues for some very prestigious clients, and be involved in some absolute whopppers of weddings.

So, having gained a wealth of knowledge and experience over the years (and with a gentle nudge from pandemic-related redundancy), I decided it was time to start 'the floral creator'

Basket and Wild Flowers

I knew from the outset I wanted to have an eco-friendly approach to my business - it's something I'm passionate about in my everyday life anyway, and having seen first hand how wasteful the industry can be (not just floristry specifically, but events and weddings as a whole too), I'm now on a mission to prove it doesn't have to be that way.

So, I refuse to use floral foam (basically a harmful toxic-filled single use plastic - to put it in a nutshell), opting for techniques and methods using natural materials to put together floral designs.

You'll also see lots of recyclable brown paper and card if you order flowers from me, because packagaing doesn't have to mean plastic!

To get in touch about anything flower related, please don't hesitate to drop me a message abi@thefloralcreator.co.uk

I hope to hear from you soon x
